There is the opportunity to work for a Media Giant alongside other dedicated, talented and creative people as a Business Analyst (Product Focused)

The contract is:

- 6 months

- 100% remote

- £500/550 per day inside IR35

Needs to have Ecommerce, and media or publishing experience

Role overview:

  • We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst with Product Owner experience and a strong

understanding of Digital Products and industry trends in the Media sector. You will be

actively involved across discovery and delivery phases of The Times & Sunday Times Digital

product upgrades and features.

  • This role has a strong focus on understanding the impact on business and customers from

changes to the product. Leading close collaboration with product, editorial and UX teams to

help to translate the strategic direction and product roadmap into feasible and defined

feature requests. You may be asked to act as Product Owner of some changes through


  • You will understand the concepts of product design and customer interactions with digital

publishing products and the challenges faced. You will be expected to play devil's advocate

to the product team to drive for value from solutions and be a sounding board for ideas.

What We're Looking For:

Requirements elicitation and analysis

  • Skilled and structured in requirements elicitation and analysis to identify business or customer value
  • Experienced in problem solving and able to absorb a range of sometimes conflicting requirements to narrow down potential solutions to provide options and recommendations.
  • Ability to present information in different styles according to the need and maturity of the dev team AND according to the stakeholder type
  • Experience facilitating conversations outlining potential solutions and prioritising options based on business value or required outcomes
  • Experienced in suitable visualisation techniques for your analysis to best highlight the proposed change.

Delivery Focus within Agile / Lean ways of working

  • Understanding of iterative product development and the technology delivery lifecycle from inception through to delivery including MVP, prototyping and lean start-up techniques.
  • Lead/support delivery of a major release or multiple initiatives from BA perspective through a clear understanding of the purpose and value of the increments within it
  • Have experience working with distributed teams and an appreciation of the benefits and challenges of doing so.
