PMO Analyst

My banking client based in Edinburgh requires a PMO Analyst to help deliver multiple outcomes across a key banking platform.

Location: Edinburgh (working from home)

Duration: 6 months

In your new role, you'll support investment planning, transformation portfolio and design services, while partnering with a range of stakeholders to make sure an effective pipeline view of investment requirements is maintained, used, and kept under regular review. You'll also be responsible for supporting increasingly complex and critical elements of the portfolio.

The skills you'll need:

  • Strong PMO experience
  • Experience budget forecasting

You'll also need:

  • Planview experience essential.
  • Knowledge and experience of portfolio management theories, models and practices.
  • Strong excel, PowerPoint required.
  • Experience of supporting portfolio management in a technology.
  • Knowledge of Agile ways of working.
  • Excellent communication and inter-personal skills.
  • Proven capability of managing stakeholders at all levels.

The role involves:

  • Helping support the Definition, creation and management of a multi-year strategic investment plan and make sure that it incorporates requirements of the budget.
  • Provide cost-benefit forecasts for current and future years, aligning to the strategic priorities.
  • Drive and develop a portfolio structure to provide appropriate governance, control and management of programme wide interdependencies, alongside our change standards.
  • Conduct regular reviews of the investment portfolio, challenge the status quo, and drive informed decision making about portfolio priorities.
  • Manage the review and approval process of the financial business case.
  • Define relevant, timely and accurate MI reporting to assist with the optimisation of strategic investment.
  • Tracking metrics and value delivery in line with cost optimisation strategies.
