A new and exciting opportunity for a lead Android developer to work for a leading bank within the Private sector.

Role: Android developer.

Salary: Up to £95,000 annually + 20% bonus

Location: Remote / Bristol once a month rest remote.

You'll be joining a fast growing, Agile team, responsible for delivering new features to our mobile App.

We're looking for a technically skilled and innovative professional to join us as a Mobile Banking Android developer. You'll be working as part of a co-located team, developing forward-thinking features to enable our customers to have the best possible journeys, making their banking simpler and more secure. You'll experience an open, collaborative and friendly team culture and will be encouraged to be deeply involved in providing cutting edge developments, pushing the bar in order to provide a complete banking solution for ambitious SME's.

Android Developers are:

Craft Skills:

  • Demonstrable experience of writing Android apps using Kotlin and Java
  • A good understanding of:◦Common architectural patterns (such as MVP, MVVM, Clean Architecture, etc)

◦Android Architecture Components (e.g. ViewModel, LiveData, LifecycleObserver, etc)

◦Data persistence (e.g. Room, SQLite, etc)

◦Networking and communication (e.g. OKHttp, Retrofit, etc)

◦Industry standard libraries (e.g. Dagger, RxJava, etc.)

  • Experience with:

◦Source control systems

◦Managing third party dependencies

◦Unit and UI testing frameworks (e.g. Mockito, Espresso, etc.)

◦Working in an Agile environment

◦Collaborating with designers and test engineers.

◦Experience with REST services.
