Business Information Officer (High Street)

Our client is looking for a highly skilled Business Information Officer (High Street) to join their Bristol team.

Purpose of the job:

To support Bristol's high streets in responding to the Coronavirus pandemic and reopening. Working with individual businesses and business groups to understand their needs and work across the Council and other organisations to help identify solutions, providing information and signposting as required. This post is funded through the Reopening High Streets Safely programme.

Job Outcomes:

• Provide face to face engagement with high street businesses and business groups to survey and understand their needs
• Gather information from businesses, identify issues and provide information or signposting to support that helps address issues
• Provide a point of contact between the City Council and high street businesses and business support groups on reopening
• Promote and help businesses understand COVID 19 guidance and legislation relevant to their business and the support available from the Council and other organisations

• Produce weekly reports on number of businesses engaged, information provided to businesses, issues/challenges identified by businesses and high streets visited

• Contribute to the gathering of information and data, this could include conducting surveys with businesses or consumers

• To work across the Council and with other organisations to help provide tailored solutions to business and high street needs
