Lorien's client is one of the world's leading research organisations, they carry out large scale surveying, assessments, evaluation, research, monitoring and policy advice for government bodies across the globe. They are in the market looking for a Digital Development Manager to join them on a permanent basis for an initial 18 month - 2-year Fixed term contract.
As a technical specialist you will play a central role primarily in the planning, development, management and delivery of the online platform. You will be tasked with working with one of their largest clients in Scotland, a well-known public body to help deliver a number of key projects.
You won't have any direct line management duties, but will be working very closely with the development team who are based overseas, so it is imperative that you have a technical understanding and ideally came from a development background in a digital space and able to understand deliverables and when to push back both internally and externally.
Acting as the first point of contact on issues with their clients IT platform, you will be responsible for analysing the design and development of the online platform providing advice to senior managers, contribute to program increment planning including gathering and documenting functional requirements, liaise with the delivery platform teams and test and follow developments through to implementation.
Also manage day to day support requirements including liaison with end clients and other internal and external stakeholders, and provide high level technical support and advice to senior managers and partners, so its critical that you have excellent communications skills and be able to articulate both in technical and non-technical terms.
The ideal candidate will hold an ICT bachelor's degree or graduate qualification in a related field and be able to demonstrate a previous background in leading digital/ software development on large-scale public-sector projects and familiarity with supporting web applications and troubleshooting based on technical logs.
