Project Manager

Our Public Sector client is looking for 3 highly skilled Project Managers to join their Edinburgh based team for a 6 months contract.

CANDIDATES MUST HAVE SCOTTISH PUBLIC SECTOR EXPERIENCE

In this role you will:

  • Build and maintain teams with positive dynamics, ensuring they are motivated, collaborating and working well
  • Generate and maintain delivery momentum, drive a team(s), set pace, work towards delivery commitments - make the process work for the delivery of value outcomes
  • Focus the team on what is most important to the delivery of products and services
  • Identify obstacles and help the team to overcome them (unblock)
  • Encourage and facilitate continuous improvement of the delivery team
  • Coach and mentor both team members and others to apply the most appropriate agile and lean tools and techniques

Essential skills and experience:

  • A demonstrable and evidenced drive to deliver
  • Ability to co-ordinate, communicate and influence to achieve outcomes within a positive working environment - strong stakeholder management skills
  • Takes a benefits driven approach, with the ability to identify and measure benefits, and target delivery towards the achievement of benefits
  • Experienced in utilising a variety of agile and lean practices
  • Project planning, budget, risk, dependency and supplier management

Desirable skills and experience

  • Scrum master
  • Agile coaching
  • The candidate will have an awareness of Digital First Service Standards, Government Digital Services (GDS) and the Scottish Approach to Service Design
  • Agile certification
