Project Recruitment
What is Project Recruitment?

Every business faces periods when recruitment activity needs to ramp up – whether it’s due to market changes, expanding into a new location or simply upscaling. Project Recruitment enables you to act quickly by outsourcing specific recruitment projects for short-term needs. From candidate shortlisting to end-to-end programmes, we tailor our approach to suit you – optimising the latest innovations in the sector to secure high-quality resources in the shortest timeframe. Your ability to grow should be unrestricted, and we remove the hurdles. Are you looking for something longer term that can still deliver to your needs? Consider our MSP or RPO/TTA solutions.

Project Recruitment
What is Recruiter on Demand?

Part of Project Recruitment, our Recruiter on Demand model has been specifically designed to support high growth SMEs. In this model, we second one of our consultants to your business as a dedicated resource for a fixed period of time. Leaning on Lorien’s wider capability, the Recruiter on Demand shapes your resourcing strategy from the ground up. Our model consults on all elements of the recruitment lifecycle – from helping stakeholders with workforce planning to carving out long-term talent networks. We futureproof your business so that you can scale at pace.

Project Recruitment
What is Specialist Project Recruitment?

Specialist Project Recruitment overlays high-depth, tech vertical expertise onto a traditional project recruitment solution. This is done by deploying our team of specialist consultants (see Lorien Specialist Markets) to fulfil requirements, and can be done for either Project Recruitment or Recruiter on Demand. This is best used for small volume, high intensity projects where niche or hard-to-fill skillsets are required.

Project Recruitment
Is Project Recruitment right for me?

Do you experience peaks and troughs in your requirements, often at short notice? Do you have an upcoming project or campaign that needs a high volume of hires in specific timeframes? Or does your internal resourcing function need support with meeting requirements, just not permanently? If you answered yes to any of the above questions, Project Recruitment could be right for you.

Project Recruitment
Proven capability

A multinational media and digital marketing and communications company needed to populate their new Digital Support Centre in Manchester. The company wanted to make a significant number of culturally aligned hires in a short timeframe, while competing for scarce multi-lingual skills in a new marketplace. By ramping up our scalable delivery team to meet tight project timescales, focusing on attraction and engagement and designing a quality-driven screening process, including creating a bespoke neuroscience based cultural assessment, we attracted over 900 candidates in six weeks and made 97 placements in three months. Our high-quality screening process meant that for every four CVs submitted, three candidates were interviewed.

Case Study - Project Recruitment
Proven capability

Following a restructure of its product development department, an online real estate and property website business needed to make a substantial number of hires to fit its new strategy. This included both new and existing roles, from junior to executive level. Crucially, delivery needed to be high quality and at scale to meet the pace of demand. Lorien deployed our Recruiter on Demand (RoD) model, with an onsite account manager taking responsibility for the end-to-end recruitment process, including developing a new, candidate-led and streamlined process, training hiring managers, redesigning job specifications and guiding decision-making based on real-time market insight. The RoD delivered all hires within timeframes, as well as improving D&I – a target area for the business – with 33% female hires for the project.
