One of our biggest clients within the Insurance industry is recruiting for a Project Manager with experience in Transition projects and Data Centres. The client is looking for a Project Manager with strong experience of Cloud Migrations, Azure, Data Centre Closures, and Infrastructure. In this role you will be responsible for the coordination and completion of projects within the information technology department. The role is remote based with occasional travel required to company sites.Objective: Management of projects to realise the ultimate decommissioning of multiple data centres.Skills required: * Background of IT Infrastructure, servers, VMs, storage, cloud in an enterprise data centre environment * Management of third party vendors * Familiarity with protecting service during change * Business customer management and communication * Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget and timeline * Collaboration with multiple geographically distributed teams and programmes * Understanding of a broad range of technology platforms * Awareness of cloud technologies - Azure in particularYou will need to be: * Flexible, easy going, able to work with changing scope and priorities * Willing to work outside of normal hours for meetings and deployments * Familiar with working in large global enterprises, prepared to work in a fluid environment liaising with colleagues in different time zonesSpecifics: * Management of discovery phase, setting scope and creation of project initiation documents * Management of projects to consolidate services running in multiple data centres into a smaller physical footprint in order to save data centre resources. This will involve:

  1. Handling the process of change management whilst minimising risk to business service
  2. Ensuring business stakeholders are kept informed of change
  3. Management of a key partner organisation for delivery

* Working with key partner organisations, manage the ultimate IT exit from data centres and successful handover to Real Estate for reuse
