Hybrid working - on site & remote

3 month contract

£450 per day, inside IR35

My major client in the retail industry are looking for a Senior Finance Analyst to join their team.

Job Summary

  • This is a key position within the Business Planning finance team with ownership of the Long Range Plan and Budget, including support in modelling sales
  • Business partnering is key as the role partners across finance to consolidate P&L plans and provide a P&L narrative to the Execs and Corporate

Key Responsibilities

  • Support in modelling sales scenarios for budget across our stores estate
  • Key business partner for commercial teams on budgets. The role is expected to challenge business partners on profitability and understand reasons behind proposed budgets
  • Responsible for organising and planning the long range plan timetable, including arranging reviews with business partners
  • Responsible for updating the Senior Leadership team on the 1, 3 and 10 year profit plan, including any risk and opportunities to profit
  • Expected to have a good understanding of overall profitability and be able to tell the story of profit movements year on year/version on version
  • Point of contact for Corporate on budget and long range plans
  • Be a resource for the Senior Leadership team for any questions and ad hoc analysis
  • Support with ad hoc analysis as and when required

Key Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in retail environment would be an advantage
  • Ability to develop relationships, communicate and influence across the business at various levels
  • Ability to present at Senior Leadership level
  • High level of initiative, curiosity and drive
  • Advanced Excel systems skills
  • Developed analytical skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain financial models
  • Ability to escalate issues and assist in resolving them
