The Test Analyst role provides test services to the CRM programme. The successful candidate will be carrying out the testing as required, liaising with third party consultants and the client SMEs to understand what need to be tested and assuring the full testing life cycle is carried out and delivered solution is fit for purpose. The Test Analyst will be required to:

  • Structure the tasks defined in the Test Strategy in terms of technical requirements
  • Validate the delivered solution to ascertain it meets the expected quality
  • Evaluate the system in terms of non-functional attributes, e.g. performance and reliability
  • Prepare and execute the appropriate activities, and report on their progress
  • Conduct testing activities
  • Provide the necessary evidence to support evaluations
  • Implement the necessary tools and techniques to achieve the defined goals

Skills and experience:

  • Minimum of ISTQB/ISEB Foundation Level Certificate.
  • Proven ability to apply and manage the fundamental test process in System, System Integration and user acceptance testing environments.
  • Experience with automated test tools such as Jira, DevOps, Bugzilla
  • Proven experience of planning and progressing test activities within broad professional guidelines and/or broad organisational policy.
  • Demonstrable experience of the software development lifecycle and associated delivery models.
  • Self-motivated, keen to evolve and share test experience with wider team/department.
  • Use of Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word and Excel, Visio, Access, PowerPoint and MS Project.
  • Knowledge of SQL (Oracle or Microsoft).
  • Previous implementation of test tools.
  • Experience of working with PRINCE2 and/or Agile software development lifecycles.
  • Previous management of small projects.

This role is inside IR35.
