Lead Network Engineer

My client is a world leading legal firm. They operate globally and have a complex list of clients. They are looking for a Lead Network Engineer to be responsible for the development, management and ongoing maintenance of Network systems and appliances across the enterprise. You will also, troubleshoot network performance issues, as well as analyse and monitor network traffic.

The Core technologies for which you will be responsible for include networking hardware and software, WAN\LAN technologies and communication systems. You will act as the technical lead for the rest of the IT networking team to escalate issues, seek clarifications and act as a mentor and coach.

This is a hand on position and will require deep technical knowledge is required with respect to several core networking devices including HPE\Aruba switches and access points, Palo Alto Firewalls, Riverbeds, Mitel PBX, Citrix Netscaler and Kemp load balancers.

Key responsibilities and skills:

• This is very much a hands-on role, and deep technical knowledge is required with respect to a number of core networking devices including HPE\Aruba switches and access points, Palo Alto Firewalls, Riverbeds, Mitel PBX, Citrix Netscaler and Kemp load balancers.
• Technical Lead and coach for the networking team.
• Plan and implement any improvement, modification, or replacement of network infrastructure components, assuring adherence to industry standards.
• Strong knowledge of network management and analysis tools, including Solarwinds Network Configuration Manager.
• Knowledge of IDS/IPS/AV and other network security measures.

Certification / Education:

• Relevant professional certifications that validate the fundamental skills required to manage the above technologies including; Palo Alto PCNSE, HP Aruba ACSA or ASA, Cisco CCNP or CCIE certification
