Incident & Problem Project Manager

This Incident & Problem Project Manager role will work as a contractor in a Financial Services Organisation within an IT Remediation Programme. The role is look at improvement to incident management, problem management, availability management & ServiceNow tooling, and the impact that delivery will have on shareholder value. Senior Stakeholder Manager is a key to this role.

The key responsibilities for this role includes:

  • The role will proactively monitor and control programme/projects progress, costs and benefits realisation using a range of review mechanisms and will keep key stakeholders up to date while highlighting any potential risks and issues.
  • Directed by the project sponsor, reporting to the Head of Incident & Problem management, ensuring the necessary stakeholder engagement and sign offs are received throughout delivery.
  • Define and develop Business Cases and implementation plans, working with project governance and stakeholders to ensure outcomes that align to strategic objectives.
  • Define project scope, activity plan and execution strategy.

The key experience and knowledge required for this role includes:

  • Experience of major incident management & problem management
  • ITIL qualified
  • Experience using ServiceNow ITSM Platform
  • Experience of ITSM Governance, controls. Policy & procedures, to include both on prem & cloud environments
  • Previous experience in Project Management role.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and best practices, including Business Cases, project planning, stakeholder mapping and comms plans and risk and issue management.
  • Conceptual thinking and working from first principle's ability, rather than using a standard prescribed formula.
  • Extensive experience of Scrum/Agile development techniques and tools for team collaboration, issue tracking and backlog management
