  • This is an opportunity to raise your profile in a diverse technology team that's driving innovation across the retail bank
  • You'll be working in the architecture area of our Platform team to deliver excellent architectural outcomes for our Account Close customer journey
  • It's a chance to gain valuable exposure and collaborate with colleagues across the bank to drive improvements for our customers

What you'll do

As a Solutions Architect within our Platform team, you'll deliver the architectural artefacts and lead on materialising the technical benefits, managing technical dependencies and risks.

With a particular focus on our Account Close customer journey, you'll define its target architecture, roadmaps and solutions and take responsibility for making sure that the architecture is informed by and linked to our broader strategy and architecture.

Day to day, you'll be:

The skills you'll need

To succeed in this role, you'll need to be a practitioner of application architecture and demonstrate knowledge of at least one architectural domain - such as data, applications, integration, infrastructure and security. You'll need working knowledge of the remaining disciplines too, and a desire to drive change and achieve outcomes through innovative solutions and new capabilities

Key that you can demonstrate:

  • Experience of developing, syndicating and communicating architectures, designs and proposals for action
  • An understanding of industry architecture frameworks, such as TOGAF and ArchiMate
  • Experience of working with business solution vendors, technology vendors and products within the market
  • Knowledge of hardware, software, application and systems engineering
  • Excellent communication skills
