Software Engineers (Graduate - Senior, Hardware Control) - Edinburgh (Hybrid) - 30 to 60K plus Bonus

* Strong remuneration packages on offer plus a great bonus scheme, hybrid working, flexible hours, career progression, and more *

Having placed a number of people into their organisation ourselves, Lorien's long standing client based near Edinburgh, a leader in their industry with a growing and consistently award-winning product line, have asked us to help them in their searches for a couple of Software Engineers with an understanding of Hardware Control to join their team (following promotions, team expansions and new projects launching as we speak). These roles would be suitable for C# / C++ Software Engineers from Graduate to Senior level, as people at all stages in their career will have something new and exciting to learn.

We've seen how well they treat their staff and how rewarding the work can be (the company has helped millions of people already and continue to improve lives across the globe), and this is a great opportunity for anyone looking to join a supportive organisation who offer hybrid working (very commutable from Edinburgh and surrounding regions), flexible working hours, a generous bonus scheme, career progression and a lot more.

Some of the things you'll get up to:

  • Develop, maintain, and improve new & existing software for devices used across the globe
  • Liaise with stakeholders in areas such as manufacturing and IT to ensure the delivery of a growing product portfolio
  • Work as a key member within one of our client's cross-functional teams, working together with verification, systems and FPGA specialists to develop software driving the systems at the core of advanced new products
  • Get to grips with a range of technologies and gain knowledge and technical skills as you do so

What you'll bring to the table:

  • Skills across C# and/or C++ and ideally Python / PowerShell for scripting
  • Preferably previous exposure to Agile development environments
  • A track record of studying or working with Hardware Control or Interfacing (such as with Industrial Control Systems / IoT sensors / similar)
  • Willingness to learn new skills, and work with a variety of technologies in a great, established R&D work setting

If this sounds good so far, apply now with your latest CV for immediate consideration and let's have a chat!

We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons regardless of their race, sex, disability, religion/belief, sexual orientation, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnerships, pregnancy or maternity or age
