Senior C# Developer (Middleware) - Edinburgh Hybrid

Lorien's long standing client, a leader in their industry with a growing and consistently award-winning product line, are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with an understanding of C# .Net and Middleware development to join their team based near Edinburgh (due to promotions, team expansions and new projects launching as we speak!).

Outline of the role and idea of the skills you'll want to bring with you:

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, monitor and maintain APIs supporting complex distributed systems
  • Lead the design and development of key middleware components with C# / .Net (and ideally some Python), and help to maintain development-specific infrastructure
  • Designing, creating and testing new features while reviewing other Engineers' work, using your understanding of software component design (standards, patterns, etc.)
  • Using your knowledge of Agile working (and ideally CI/CD and TDD or BDD) to ensure best practice and improving the function and its members as you work
