Solutions Architect

Hybrid Working - 1-2days a month on site.

Lorien's Banking Client are currently looking for an experienced Solutions Architect to join the team on an initial 6-month contract with potential for extensions.

This will be inside IR35 and work in a remote first model.

What you'll do

As a Solution Architect within our Platform team, you'll deliver the architectural artefacts and lead on materialising the technical benefits, managing technical dependencies and risks.

With a particular focus on our Account Close customer journey, you'll define its target architecture, roadmaps and solutions and take responsibility for making sure that the architecture is informed by and linked to our broader strategy and architecture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translating business and technical goals into phased architecture roadmaps
  • Identifying opportunities to grow our domain capability, drive down technical costs, and improve the customer and colleague experience
  • Defining, creating, and maintaining architecture models, roadmaps, technical design standards, patterns and guardrails, and refining packages of work for the backlog
  • Engaging a diverse stakeholder network to enable informed and commercially focused decision-making

Key Skills

To succeed in this role, you'll need to be a practitioner of application architecture and demonstrate knowledge of at least one architectural domain - such as data, applications, integration, infrastructure, and security. You'll need working knowledge of the remaining disciplines too, and a desire to drive change and achieve outcomes through innovative solutions and new capabilities

  • Experience of developing, syndicating, and communicating architectures, designs and proposals for action
  • An understanding of industry architecture frameworks, such as TOGAF and ArchiMate
  • Experience of working with business solution vendors, technology vendors and products within the market
  • Knowledge of hardware, software, application, and systems engineering
  • Excellent communication skills
