Finance Business Analyst - Integration Programme (Contract)

Hybrid (2-3 days/week in London)
4 Month Contract | Immediate Start

We're looking for a proactive Finance Business Analyst with strong stakeholder engagement skills, ability to create visual project updates (PowerPoint, Gantt, Visio), with a background in FP&A or financial services.

This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role-perfect for someone who enjoys organising complex information, creating clear visuals, and engaging with senior stakeholders to keep multi‑team activity on track.
You do not need to be a modeller or accountant, but you do need strong financial understanding.

What You'll Be Doing

Project Support & Coordination

  • Create visual project updates, including PowerPoint packs and summary status reports.
  • Build and maintain Gantt charts, timelines, and simple project plans to keep multiple workstreams aligned.
  • Map out process workflows, showing "who does what and when" to reach the end-state design.
  • Track milestones, identify dependencies, surface risks, and help remove blockers across pods.

Business Analysis

  • Lead discovery sessions to understand current vs. future state finance processes.
  • Document and translate requirements into clear outputs for delivery teams and SMEs.
  • Support creation of new finance processes, models, and reporting structures.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Proactively engage stakeholders to gather updates, ask questions and challenge where needed.
  • Act as a visible coordinator between multiple teams-including senior finance leaders-to ensure alignment.

What You'll Bring

Finance Knowledge

  • Understanding of P&L, financial processes, and rolling forecasts. (No heavy modelling required.)
  • Experience in FP&A, Finance Business Partnering, insurance, or financial services.

Tools & Technical Skills

  • Strong PowerPoint skills for visual storytelling.
  • Comfortable building Gantt charts and process maps (using tools such as Visio or MS Project).
  • Able to lightly review Excel models (sense checking, not model building).

Personal Qualities

  • Highly proactive-someone who drives progress rather than waits for direction.
  • Organised, structured and comfortable managing multiple moving parts.
  • A strong communicator who can simplify complex information.
  • Quick to absorb new concepts, especially in finance-heavy conversations.
