Project Support Officer

Are you highly organised, detail-oriented, and passionate about supporting successful project delivery? We are looking for a Project Support Officer (PSO) to join our team and play a key role in ensuring projects run smoothly and efficiently.

About the Role

As a Project Support Officer, you will provide essential support to project managers and teams, helping to maintain momentum and deliver results. You'll be responsible for coordinating activities, managing documentation, and ensuring compliance with organisational standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the creation and maintenance of project plans.
  • Track progress against milestones and produce regular reports.
  • Organise and schedule project meetings, workshops, and checkpoints.
  • Maintain and update key project documentation, including:
    • Monthly highlight reports
    • Risk and issues logs
    • Finance forecasting spreadsheets
    • Action logs
  • Distribute communications and documentation as per project plans.
  • Implement process improvements where identified.
  • Produce ad-hoc reports as requested by the Project Manager.
  • Ensure all project activity complies with organisational standards.

What We're Looking For

  • Qualifications: Prince2 or APM certification.
  • Experience:
    • Proven track record of providing project support.
    • Experience applying different methodologies and techniques to maximise delivery success.
  • Skills:
    • Strong administrative skills and proficiency in MS Office packages.
    • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
    • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
  • Technical:
    • Experience using project tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
  • Behavioural:
    • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach.
