Senior Windows Desktop Engineer (FTC) - London - Investment Banking

An Investment Bank is seeking to hire a Senior Desktop Engineer on a fixed-term basis to support e-sign, implement, and support our enterprise desktop environment, focusing on Citrix VDI, SCCM, VMware, Intune, and automation.

As a desktop engineer, you will be expected to support server-related tasks and some infrastructure. They are not seeking individuals who are primarily support/desk line.

Duration: 12months

Salary: £75,000-£85,000

Hybrid/Location: 3 days per week in City of London Office (W/T/W)

Working requirements: may require occasional evening or weekend work to support maintenance or support tasks.

What we are looking for:

• Deep expertise in Citrix Virtual, Ability to set up virtual desktops, and improve standards
• Experience with Vpshere and VMWare (clustering, Vswitc,h etc)
• Deep knowledge of MS SCCM
• Experience with servers (DHCP), connecting using PowerCLI
• Proven ability to create and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation (command lines, etc).
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and particularly experience with C-suite ("White glove" service)
