Project Manager (Oracle ERP & Financial Systems)

Reading - 50% onsite

12 Month Contract

£575 - £620/day inside IR35

Lorien's Utilities client are currently recruiting for a Project Manager to join on a 12 month initial contract, inside IR35.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage project-level delivery for Oracle ERP and integrated cost management solutions under the direction of the Programme Manager.
  • Support the implementation of the Integrated Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS), ensuring system alignment and business process integration.
  • Coordinate the delivery of Cost Book capabilities, integrating data sources and enabling financial transparency and forecasting accuracy.
  • Deliver technology components supporting automated Regulatory Reporting Packs (RRP) leveraging Azure and Power BI platforms.
  • Work closely with business SMEs, technology teams, and external vendors to ensure successful end-to-end project delivery.
  • Maintain detailed project plans, status updates, and risk and issue logs, escalating to the Programme Manager as required.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience delivering IT projects within Oracle ERP environments, preferably with cost management or financial reporting components.
  • Good understanding of cost breakdown structures, financial reporting processes, and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Experience working within large-scale transformation programmes, supporting both business and technology workstreams.
  • Strong project management skills, with ability to manage detailed plans, budgets, risks, and dependencies.
  • Familiarity with data platforms (Azure), business intelligence tools (Power BI), and Oracle Field Services is advantageous.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage with business SMEs, technology teams, and third-party suppliers.
  • Experience in project governance, reporting, and use of project delivery methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
