SOLUTIONS ARCHITECT - 4 MONTHS CONTRACT - INSIDE IR35

One of Loriens leading Public Sector Clients is looking for a highly experienced Solutions Architect to join their team on an initial 4 month contract. This role will require attendance in either their Glasgow or Edinburgh offices 2 times per week.

Required Experience

  • Strong leadership skills with proven ability to deliver corporate programmes while engaging credibly with a range of stakeholders, business partners, and development teams to understand needs and guide implementation of long-term IT strategies that support business goals.
  • Reputable experience of working with multi-disciplinary teams and stakeholders to provide specialist application architecture expertise, analysis and direction.
  • Extensive track record of delivering performant, scalable, resilient, secure and cost-effective Cloud solutions, with a strong understanding of best practices in accordance with well architected frameworks pertaining to cloud technologies.
  • Experienced in designing solutions and services with a high level of ingrained security and adherence to GDPR Information Governance and cyber security regulations
  • Proven experience in development and implementation of standards and best practices with the aim of producing best of bread technology solutions

  • An effective communicator, able to convey a vision to teams and stakeholders at all levels, using architecture communication techniques
  • Ability to lead the framing of a problem characterised by high complexity, complication, or risk so that a solution can be created.
  • Able to create technical designs characterised by high risk, impact, and complexity
  • Help others challenge requirements and assumptions to identify opportunities when defining problems and solution options
  • Extremely well-developed knowledge of system architecture principles and processes and how these are best applied to large, highly complex systems.
  • Identify and address architectural risks that affect multiple teams or domains, using architectural governance and assurance to make design decisions and manage technical risks.
  • Delivery focused, you are disciplined and able to define and prioritise what's most important and how to achieve that in the most efficient and effective way.
  • Ability to work on own initiative, to organise and prioritise own workload, and that of others, and to meet strict deadlines.
