Our major client in the Energy industry is looking for an experienced Enterprise Architect to join their team, on an initial 6 month contract.

Senior Enterprise Architect
This role is for an experienced Enterprise Architect to work on the Digital Programme that is building the technology estate that supports the business. This programme is moving us from a limited set of capabilities to a modern, could-based, application portfolio that will enhance our operations in all areas. The focus of this role will be on building out the Technology Baseline model, developing capability and system roadmaps aligned to our Technology Strategy, guiding solution delivery and supporting planning into the next investment period for the Transmission business. The role will report to the Lead Architect as part of the Transmission Architecture Team.

Skills / Experience Required
* The role will operate across several programme streams, responsible for definition and agreement of roadmaps and guiding solution designs to align with them. This will involve guiding Solution Architects embedded in our delivery teams, and collaborating with analysts and technical specialists.
* Business areas will include customer and stakeholder engagement, asset & maintenance work management and control room operations. Any relevant experience in these topics will be advantageous.
* A structured and methodical approach (e.g. TOGAF) to solutioning, and the ability to lead discussions and influence stakeholders who are used to operating with less structured approaches.
* Experience of capability based modelling, and developing future scenarios in an EA Modelling tool.
* The ability to present content at both a strategic level, and to deliver more focussed design decisions, with the authority that comes from a deep and broad technical knowledge.
* Experience of working in procurement processes to specify requirements through tenders and evaluate supplier proposals.
* Examples of balancing long-term strategic objectives with immediate business imperatives, and contributing to roadmap changes in line with that.
