We're supporting a major UK financial institution on a high-profile review of SWIFT connectivity and RTGS access policies. This is an opportunity for an experienced payments specialist to help shape future policy, connectivity standards and risk frameworks across critical payment infrastructure.

Working closely with payments, technology and risk stakeholders, you'll conduct a detailed assessment of SWIFT products, services and connectivity models, providing evidence-based recommendations to support strategic and policy decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and assess SWIFT connectivity products, services and operating models.
  • Analyse connectivity options across RTGS participants, CHAPS participants and API-based access channels.
  • Develop and apply risk assessment methodologies covering operational resilience, cyber security, identity and access management, third-party risk and service continuity.
  • Evaluate existing policies, controls and documentation, identifying gaps, ambiguities and areas for improvement.
  • Produce policy options, recommendations and supporting evidence for governance and decision-making forums.
  • Engage with technical teams, risk teams and SWIFT representatives to validate findings and recommendations.
  • Contribute to updates of relevant standards, policies, rules and supporting documentation.

Experience Required

  • Strong experience working with SWIFT products, services and connectivity solutions.
  • Detailed knowledge of payment infrastructure, ideally including RTGS, CHAPS and participant connectivity models.
  • Experience performing technology, operational or cyber risk assessments within financial services or other highly regulated environments.
  • Strong understanding of identity and access management, security credentials, certificate models, cloud connectivity and third-party service arrangements.
  • Experience producing recommendations, governance papers, policy frameworks and supporting documentation for senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and ability to work across business, technology, risk and external partners
