Full Stack Software Engineer - 6-Month Contract (Inside IR35)

Rate: £700 per day (Inside IR35)

Duration: 6 months

Location: Remote, with ad-hoc visits to the City of London office

We're looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer to join a multi-disciplinary Agile delivery team, building secure, scalable and accessible web applications from the user interface through to the services behind it.

What you'll be doing

• Designing, building, testing and deploying full stack solutions
• Turning UX/UI designs and design system components into maintainable front-end code
• Building and integrating APIs and back-end services
• Writing automated tests across the stack and taking part in code reviews
• Supporting troubleshooting, root cause analysis and CI/CD adoption

What you'll bring

• 5+ years' full tack software engineering experience in Agile environments
• Strong React, Next.js and TypeScript, with solid HTML, CSS and JavaScript fundamentals
• Experience building accessible, responsive applications to WCAG 2.1 AA
• Back-end experience in Java, C#/.NET, Node.js or Python
• API design, relational and/or non-relational databases, and secure authentication and authorisation
• Automated testing (unit, integration, API and end-to-end) and source control
• Experience using AI-assisted engineering tools responsibly
• Must have experience working within Financial Services. Insurance highly desirable

Nice to have

• Cloud certification(s)
• DevOps or platform engineering exposure
• Containers and microservices
• Experience in regulated or security-conscious environments
