Location: Hybrid, Central London (2-3 Days Onsite)
We are seeking an experienced Advanced Analytics & Insights Manager to work within the Medical Affairs space to join a leading Healthcare & Pharmaceutical business on an exciting contract opportunity. This role will sit within a growing Data & Analytics function, partnering closely with Medical Affairs and senior business stakeholders to deliver strategic insights that influence decision-making and demonstrate business impact.
This is an excellent opportunity for an analytics professional with strong stakeholder management skills and a passion for turning complex data into actionable recommendations.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with senior stakeholders to define business questions, KPIs, and measurement frameworks.
- Deliver advanced analytics, reporting, dashboards, and insight generation to support strategic decision-making.
- Assess the effectiveness and impact of Medical Affairs activities, including scientific engagement programmes, advisory boards, congresses, publications, and evidence-generation initiatives.
- Develop and implement KPI frameworks and performance measurement strategies.
- Translate complex analytical outputs into clear, actionable recommendations for leadership teams.
- Lead workshops and stakeholder discussions to align on business priorities and analytical approaches.
- Drive adoption of innovative analytics methodologies, including AI-enabled insights and reporting solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Medical Affairs, Data Science, Evidence Generation, Epidemiology, and Business Intelligence.
Skills & Experience
- Experienced in Advanced Analytics & Insights, Data Science, Business Intelligence, Healthcare Analytics, Pharmaceutical Analytics, or Consulting.
- Proven ability to convert complex data into commercially and strategically relevant insights.
- Advanced analytics and modelling: strong grounding in statistics, econometrics or data science; able to structure analyses, identify drivers of outcomes and create prototypes/use cases.
- Pharmaceutical Medical Affairs analytics: understanding of real-world evidence, clinical-trial and patient-level data, MSL/medical liaison activities, medical unmet needs, scientific engagement effectiveness and congress impact.
- Executive insight communication: proven ability to turn a business question into analysis, an effective PowerPoint story and a confident presentation to VP-level stakeholders.
- Supporting skills: practical Python and SQL for ad hoc data pulls/analysis; Power BI knowledge sufficient to guide developers; familiarity with AI-enabled analytics.
- Experience building KPI frameworks, analytical models, dashboards, and executive-level reporting.
- Proficiency with analytical tools such as Python, R, SQL, SAS, Power BI, Tableau, or similar. Key focus would be Python.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior audiences.
Desirable
- Experience supporting Medical Affairs or Life Sciences functions; or similar Pharmaceuticals / Commercial areas.
- Qualified in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Epidemiology, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Public Health, or a related discipline would be highly desirable.
- Knowledge of evidence generation, healthcare data, patient outcomes, and engagement measurement.
- Exposure to AI, machine learning, or predictive analytics techniques
