Business Analyst (Transformation)
Location: Hybrid, London (2 days per week onsite)
Contract: 6 months
Rate: £475 Inside of IR35

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join a major Student Recruitment & Admissions Transformation Programme for a leading educational organisation. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in reshaping how students are recruited, admitted and onboarded, helping to deliver a future-state operating model supported by modern technology and streamlined processes.

Working within a high-profile transformation programme, you will engage with stakeholders across multiple business areas, analyse current processes, gather and manage requirements, and help design future ways of working that improve the applicant and stakeholder experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead requirements gathering through workshops, interviews and stakeholder engagement sessions.
  • Capture, document and manage business, user, process and data requirements.
  • Analyse existing processes, identifying inefficiencies, risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Design and document future-state business processes across the student lifecycle.
  • Facilitate stakeholder workshops and help build consensus across diverse teams.
  • Support technology procurement activities, including supplier evaluation and requirements validation.
  • Maintain traceability between business needs, processes and requirements.
  • Produce high-quality documentation, process maps and presentations for a range of audiences.
  • Work closely with programme, change, technology and delivery teams to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience working as a Business Analyst delivering IT-enabled business change programmes.
  • Strong requirements elicitation, analysis and documentation skills.
  • Experience in business process mapping and process improvement.
  • Skilled in workshop facilitation, stakeholder interviews and stakeholder management.
  • Ability to work across multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience influencing and engaging stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Comfortable working through ambiguity and complex organisational challenges.
  • Experience within Higher Education, Admissions, Recruitment, Student Services or similar environments.
