Cyber Security Trainer

• Cyber Security Trainer - 6 Month Contract

  Location: Remote with onsite training delivery required in Shrivenham
  Rate: £550 per day
  IR35: Inside IR35
  Contract: 6 months initially

  We are supporting a major expansion within a Cyber Training Services programme and are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Trainer to deliver high-quality, technically robust cyber training to learners.

  This role is ideal for an experienced cyber security professional who is passionate about educating others, translating complex technical and operational scenarios into engaging practical learning, and helping develop cyber security capability.

  Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality cyber security and incident response training to learners with varying levels of experience.

  • Translate real-world cyber operations, threat analysis and incident handling into clear, practical instruction.

  • Act as a cyber security SME, providing credible and up-to-date guidance on cyber operations and emerging threats.

  • Develop tailored cyber training content based on specialist tools, environments and threat profiles.

  • Produce engaging learning materials including presentations, workbooks, labs and simulations.

  • Create realistic scenario-based exercises that reflect operational cyber incidents.

  • Support the development of assessments and hands-on tasks to measure learner competence.

  • Ensure training content aligns with relevant industry standards and best practices.

  Key Skills & Experience:

  • Live SC Clearance

  • Proven experience delivering cyber security training - essential

  • Strong hands-on knowledge of cyber threats, network security, risk management and compliance frameworks.

  • Strong understanding of incident response methodologies, detection, investigation techniques and tooling.

  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and engagingly.

  • Experience designing or delivering cyber exercises, simulations or practical labs.

  • Ability to translate technical operational knowledge into structured learning content.

  • Experience with Elastic or similar monitoring/analytics platforms.

  • Familiarity with learning frameworks such as DSAT and JSP 822 is desirable.

  Please note: Defence-sector experience is not required for this role. However, previous experience delivering cyber security training is essential.
