Software Engineer - Liverpool (Hybrid)
Up to £70,000 + Benefits

The Role
We're looking for a Software Engineer to join a growing product and technology team, helping build and enhance modern software solutions within a cloud-first environment.

This is a hands-on engineering role where you'll work across the full software development lifecycle, collaborating with Product, QA, and fellow Engineers to deliver high-quality solutions that provide real value to customers. You'll be involved from design and development through to testing, deployment, and ongoing improvement.

What You'll Be Doing

• Developing clean, maintainable, and well-tested software solutions
• Working closely with Product Owners, Testers, and Engineers to turn requirements into technical solutions
• Participating in Agile ceremonies and contributing to delivery planning
• Writing unit and contract tests to ensure quality and reliability
• Supporting and enhancing existing applications, including troubleshooting issues when required
• Developing infrastructure-as-code and contributing to CI/CD practices
• Helping improve engineering processes, tools, and ways of working
• Producing and maintaining clear technical documentation

Technology Environment
You'll be working with technologies including:

• C#
• Microsoft Azure
• Terraform
• Git
• CI/CD pipelines
• REST APIs
• Event-driven and message-driven architectures
• SQL and NoSQL databases

What You Bring

• Commercial experience developing applications using C#
• Experience working with Azure cloud services
• Understanding of Infrastructure as Code, ideally Terraform
• Experience building or supporting RESTful services and event-driven systems
• Good understanding of modern software engineering principles, including SOLID and Agile development practices
• Experience with automated testing and CI/CD delivery
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to problem-solving

Nice to Have

• Exposure to TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, or CSS
• Experience with performance or load testing
