Project Support Officer (PSO)
Title: Project Support Officer
Duration: 12 Weeks
Location: Edinburgh or Glasgow (Hybrid 3x per week)
Rate: £220 Inside IR35
We're supporting a key public sector client seeking an experienced Project Support Officer to provide project coordination, governance and administrative support across a range of projects and programmes.
This is a hands-on support role where you'll work closely with Project Managers, Programme Managers and stakeholders to ensure projects are well governed, accurately reported and delivered efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support Project Managers with day-to-day project delivery activities
* Maintain project plans, schedules, milestones and tracking documentation
* Manage RAID logs and monitor risks, issues, actions and dependencies
* Produce project reports, dashboards and management information
* Coordinate project meetings, workshops and governance boards
* Prepare agendas, board papers, presentations and meeting packs
* Take minutes and track actions through to completion
* Maintain project documentation, records and document repositories
* Support budget monitoring, financial tracking and reporting
* Assist with project governance, assurance reviews and audit requirements
* Liaise with stakeholders to gather updates and support delivery activities
* Ensure project controls, processes and reporting standards are followed
Key Experience:
* Experience working in a Project Support, PMO, Project Coordinator or Project Administrator role
* Experience supporting projects throughout the full project lifecycle
* Strong governance, reporting and project administration experience
* Experience managing RAID logs and project documentation
* Meeting coordination, agenda preparation and minute-taking experience
* Experience producing management information and status reports
* Strong stakeholder communication and relationship management skills
* Budget tracking, financial administration or project finance exposure
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and MS Project
* Knowledge of project management methodologies such as PRINCE2
* Strong organisational, planning and prioritisation skills
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment
