Automation Business Analyst - Perm
Automation Business Analyst | £55,000-£60,000 | Hybrid, 2 days/week Central Manchester
A global betting and gaming operator that's putting serious investment into automation - and they need an Automation Business Analyst who actually enjoys getting into the detail of how a process really works, not just documenting it after the fact.
You'll be mapping current processes and redesigning them so they're genuinely ready for automation, working closely with Product Managers and automation developers along the way. That means you're involved from the discovery conversation right through to checking that what gets built actually does what it was meant to. You'll also help build the case for why an automation is worth doing - ROI, time saved, errors removed - so this isn't a role where you write requirements and disappear.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse and document existing business processes, identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements.
- Facilitate workshops and stakeholder meetings to gather requirements and understand business challenges.
- Produce process maps, business requirements, user stories, and supporting documentation.
- Define future-state processes that improve operational efficiency and scalability.
- Collaborate with technical teams throughout the automation development lifecycle.
- Support testing and validation activities to ensure solutions meet business requirements.
- Measure and report on the success of automation initiatives, including productivity gains and ROI.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst within transformation, technology, digital, or process improvement environments.
- Experience working on automation, RPA, workflow optimisation, or continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong process mapping and requirements gathering skills.
- Ability to document both current-state and future-state business processes.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience working across both business and technical teams.
Desirable
- Exposure to automation platforms such as UiPath, Power Automate, Blue Prism, or Automation Anywhere.
- Experience supporting digital transformation programmes.
- Knowledge of AI-enabled automation solutions.
- Relevant Business Analysis qualification (BCS, IIBA or equivalent).
If you're passionate about business improvement, automation, and delivering meaningful change, we'd love to hear from you.
