Director of Finance - Edinburgh - 12 months - £566.02 Inside IR35

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Director of Finance to join a major public sector organisation.

This is a senior leadership role responsible for leading Finance and Procurement functions, overseeing a budget of approximately £500m, and providing strategic financial advice at Executive level.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Finance and Procurement functions
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting and medium-term financial planning
• Ensure effective financial governance, controls and compliance
• Lead Annual Accounts and Audit processes
• Advise senior executives on financial strategy and budget allocation
• Lead Budget and Spending Reviews
• Manage relationships with key public sector stakeholders

Essential Requirements

• Fully CCAB qualified accountant
• Membership of a recognised professional accountancy body
• Significant senior-level financial management experience
• Strong technical financial accounting background
• Experience of financial strategy, governance and risk management
• Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills
• Experience delivering organisational change and improvement initiatives
