Our client, a global consultancy, are currently looking to hire a Data Architect with SC Clearance to join the team on contract basis. This role would be remote working, with occasional adhoc travel to London.
In this role you will support the programme by shaping the data architecture, integration data design and data quality assurance capability required to deliver a secure, reliable and operationally robust solution.
As the ideal candidate you will have strong data architecture experience, with prior exposure to application integration architecture and the practical implementation of data quality frameworks in complex delivery environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Architecture and Design Assurance: Define and assure data architecture across solution components, ensuring data structures, flows, mappings and ownership are clearly understood
- Process Modelling: Review of business process models and alignment of data solutions to business processes
- Integration Data Design: Work with application integration architects and delivery teams to define interface data requirements, payload structures, mapping rules, validation logic, reference data dependencies and exception handling.
- Data Quality Assurance Capability: Define and establish data quality frameworks, including data quality dimensions, validation rules, reconciliation controls, reporting, thresholds, ownership and remediation processes.
Key Competencies:
- Ability to break down complex and critical problems, using a variety of inputs from across the team and by developing necessary outputs (e.g. wireframes, blue-prints, standard operating procedures, customer journey maps, end to end process maps, etc)
- Strong data architecture experience across complex, multi-system programmes.
- Practical understanding of application integration architecture, including APIs, middleware, batch/file integration, event-driven patterns and interface design.
- Experience defining or implementing data quality frameworks, including controls, metrics, issue management and reporting.
- Ability to work across business, technical, supplier and client teams.
- Strong understanding of data governance, lineage, metadata, data modelling and regulatory obligations.
- Experience working in large transformation or ERP-enabled programmes would be highly desirable.
- Outcomes focussed with a strong drive to create and deliver solution options to deliver requirements in an optimal manner given the broader constraints and contexts within the organisation
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills
