Network Engineer
Location: Bracknell Hybrid
Duration: 12 month contract
Pay Type: Inside IR35
We're recruiting for a skilled Network Engineer to join a global enterprise environment, supporting a large-scale network infrastructure across multiple locations.
This is a hands-on role focused on network operations, troubleshooting, incident management, and ensuring high availability across critical business services.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and resolve network incidents end-to-end.
- Configure and support Cisco and Meraki networking technologies.
- Manage major incidents and coordinate with internal teams and third-party providers.
- Monitor network performance using network management tools.
- Support DNS, DHCP, wireless networking, and SD-WAN environments.
- Participate in an on-call rota.
Essential Skills
- 3+ years' experience supporting enterprise network environments.
- Strong Cisco IOS and Meraki experience.
- Solid understanding of routing and switching technologies including BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLANs, NAT, DNS and DHCP.
- Experience with network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, SevOne, Nagios or similar.
- Knowledge of ITIL processes and incident management.
- CCNA or equivalent hands-on experience.
Desirable
- Cisco ISE, UCS, NSO or Duo experience.
- VMware knowledge.
- Experience delivering network refresh or transformation projects.
