Senior Business Analyst (Contract) | London Hybrid| 6 Months | SC Cleared
We're supporting a leading financial institution in their search for an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join a major technology transformation programme. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-impact change initiatives across banking, payments, trading and treasury environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Elicit, analyse and manage complex business requirements
- Facilitate workshops and engage senior stakeholders
- Produce process maps, user stories and acceptance criteria
- Drive discovery, current-state and future-state analysis
- Support product backlog refinement and prioritisation
- Conduct impact assessments and identify risks and dependencies
- Collaborate across business, technology and delivery teams to drive successful outcomes
Essential Experience
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst delivering complex change programmes, projects or products
- Minimum 5 years' experience within Banking and Payments, with exposure to Trading, Investment Banking and/or Treasury
- Strong requirements management, process modelling and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience working across Agile, Waterfall and Product delivery environments
- Excellent communication, facilitation and problem-solving skills
Desirable Experience:
- Financial Crime Risk Management (FCRM), including Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Fraud Detection and Sanctions Screening solutions
- ERP programmes, ideally SAP
- Data Business Analysis, including data requirements, data modelling, data quality, data lineage, reporting and analytics
- Experience in loan valuation, asset-backed securities, collateral management and risk modelling
- Experience within financial markets, securities settlement or market infrastructure, including CREST and post-trade processes
- CRM transformation programmes, covering customer, stakeholder and operational process improvement initiatives
