Lorien's leading banking client is looking for a Test Manager to lead testing across a large-scale transformation programme within a major financial services environment. This is a senior leadership role focused on defining and delivering a comprehensive testing strategy while coordinating testing activities across multiple programmes, business functions and delivery teams.
You will act as a Testing Change Agent, bringing together existing testing capabilities, aligning resources, influencing senior stakeholders and ensuring successful delivery through multiple teams and managers rather than direct hands-on execution.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in complex enterprise environments and has experience driving testing across major business and technology transformation programmes.
This role is based in a local office.
This role will be Via Umbrella.
Working in a Hybrid Model of 2 days a week on site.
Key Responsibilities
- Define, own and deliver the overall Test Strategy from inception through to execution.
- Own the Test Completion Report (TCR) suite and ensure high-quality governance and reporting.
- Establish and maintain effective JIRA governance across testing activities.
- Coordinate testing across Programme, BAU and cross-functional delivery teams.
- Lead resource planning and test data coordination across multiple workstreams.
- Oversee planning, scheduling and execution of all testing phases.
- Align existing testing resources into a cohesive delivery model.
- Drive consistent testing approaches across technology and business teams.
- Work closely with engineering teams to ensure effective end-to-end delivery.
- Deliver through other managers and distributed testing teams across multiple organisations.
- Influence senior stakeholders and provide clear reporting on testing progress, risks and delivery outcomes.
- Ensure testing supports successful business and technology integration across multiple programmes.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Senior Test Manager or Head of Test within large enterprise environments.
- Demonstrable experience creating and implementing Test Strategies from scratch.
- Strong leadership experience delivering through managers and cross-functional teams.
- Experience coordinating large-scale testing across multiple programmes and business units.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise testing governance and best practice.
- Experience owning Test Completion Reports (TCRs).
- Strong JIRA governance and reporting experience.
- Experience coordinating test resources, environments and test data.
- Excellent stakeholder management with the ability to influence senior business and technology leaders.
- Strong organisational and programme coordination skills.
- Results-driven with the ability to deliver within complex transformation environments.
- Comfortable working with engineering teams and enterprise technology toolsets.
Highly Desirable
- Previous High Street Banking Experience.
- Experience delivering large-scale integration programmes.
- Experience within Wealth Management or Financial Services transformation.
- Experience working across BAU change and strategic transformation initiatives.
- Knowledge of enterprise testing tools and modern delivery practices.
