Project Manager - Edinburgh (Hybrid)
Project Manager - Edinburgh (Hybrid) - £500 - £600 Inside IR35 - 6 Months
One of Lorien's key public sector clients is looking for a Project Manager to join their team on an initial 6 month contract working on a major Correspondence Management System (CMS) transformation programme.
The successful candidate will support the delivery of a cloud-based SaaS solution as part of a wider business transformation initiative, driving stakeholder engagement, business change, and implementation delivery across multiple workstreams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading the day-to-day delivery of the CMS project and associated workstreams
- Managing project plans, milestones, risks, issues, budgets and resources
- Driving delivery from initiation through to implementation and transition into BAU
- Building strong relationships with stakeholders across the organisation to ensure successful adoption of project outcomes
- Managing dependencies across multiple projects and programmes
- Providing leadership and governance across project workstreams
- Supporting business change activities and ensuring delivery aligns with strategic objectives
- Representing the project within customer and user forums, ensuring effective communication and engagement
- Escalating risks, issues and delivery concerns to senior leadership where appropriate
Key Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience delivering large-scale SaaS or cloud-based transformation programmes
- Strong Project Management background with end-to-end delivery experience
- Demonstrable experience managing complex implementations involving business change, integration and data migration activities
- Experience developing and managing detailed project plans and programme milestones
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging at all organisational levels
- Experience working within large, complex organisations with multiple stakeholder groups
- Ability to manage project finances, risks, governance and reporting
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Experience delivering projects within a public sector environment
Desirable Skills:
- Experience delivering Correspondence Management, Case Management or Workflow solutions
- Experience within Scottish Government, Central Government, Local Authority or wider public sector organisations
- Exposure to FOI, Parliamentary Questions or Ministerial Correspondence processes
- Relevant Project Management qualifications (PRINCE2, MSP, Agile or equivalent)
- Experience delivering corporate function or service transformation programmes
