Design Standards & Estates Strategy Manager

We are seeking an experienced construction or built environment professional to play a key role in shaping and maintaining design standards across a complex estate portfolio. You will lead the development of technical standards, manage external consultants and frameworks, support major infrastructure projects, and drive continuous improvement through post-project reviews and innovation.

Key Requirements:

• Degree or HND in Architecture, Architectural Technology, Building Surveying, Construction, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Significant experience in design management and delivery of large-scale infrastructure or estate projects.
• Proven ability to manage consultants, frameworks, and professional service contracts.
• Experience developing technical standards, specifications, and continuous improvement programmes.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and deliver quality outcomes.
• Knowledge of planning, construction, building standards, and related legislation.

Desirable:

• Experience establishing and monitoring design standards across complex estates.
• Knowledge of Scottish Government policies and legislation relating to the built environment.
