We are supporting a global organisation undertaking a critical redesign of its compliance learning landscape across regulated environments. This engagement is part of a wider learning transformation programme, including the introduction of a new learning platform, and the simplification of complex, fragmented systems, processes and data.

This is a pure design‑phase role (no implementation), running through to the end of Q3, and requires credible external expertise - someone who can confidently assess the current state and clearly articulate how it should work.

There is a focus on Quality, Supply Chain (QSC) and R&D, operating within GxP‑regulated environments.

The Role

As a Lead GxP Learning Compliance specialist, you will lead the design of a simplified, standardised compliance learning framework. You'll work closely with senior leaders and functional experts, bringing clarity to a complex landscape and providing authoritative recommendations that balance regulatory risk with business value.

This role is suited to someone who understands how learning operates within GxP processes, rather than someone focused purely on learning operations or pure GxP in isolation.

Key responsibilities

  1. Redefine our compliance learning framework (including policies and standards) taking into account the different legal, regulatory and compliance requirements across the globe balancing value with risk
  2. Conduct root cause analysis to identify complexity to transform the global compliance learning processes using an established methodology such as Lean to identify what activities to stop, simplify, standardise and automate and then scale across the organisation
  3. Identify how we can automate a significant number of learning assignments to reduce manual interventions
  4. Rationalise, standardise and take advantage of automation using the tech platforms in use at Haleon.
  5. Partner with learning leads from manufacturing, R&D, Finance, Compliance and Tech to have a simplified and compliant learning curricula based on global, local and role specific training requirements
  6. Define the re-certification periods for different groups of curricula against the revised compliance learning framework
  7. Design a high level implementation plan based on the outputs of the design sprint with a clear set of success metrics

  • Expert in value stream mapping and/or lean approaches to transformation
  • Highly metrics driven to demonstrate value in everything you do
  • Experience of how to design a framework against different legal, regulatory and compliance requirements globally to be audit ready
  • Understands the importance of learning within a GxP compliance environment and different ways learning can be designed and deployed to be audit ready
  • Ability to operate under own steam and collaborate with senior leaders effectively to align them around a shared purpose
