Project Manager - Business Operations Execution

Location: London (4 days onsite)
Contract: 6 months (Inside IR35)
Day Rate: £600 - £700 per day

Overview

We're supporting a globally recognised luxury retail brand to appoint an experienced Project Manager to lead delivery across key Business Operations initiatives.

This role sits within a complex, multi-functional global environment spanning IT and business teams. You'll be responsible for driving delivery across critical programmes, balancing time, cost and quality while managing senior stakeholders.

The Role

You will take full ownership of project delivery across the remaining phases of the lifecycle, with a focus on Raw Materials Management and Real-Time Data projects.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading end-to-end project delivery from planning through to execution and closure
  • Owning and maintaining project plans, scope, and governance controls
  • Managing RAID logs and ensuring effective mitigation strategies
  • Driving project management within enterprise tooling (e.g. Shibumi)
  • Controlling budgets and forecasts, maintaining accuracy within ±5%
  • Leading stage gate processes and ensuring adherence to governance
  • Chairing monthly SteerCo meetings and providing clear executive-level reporting
  • Managing stakeholders across business and technology functions globally
  • Coordinating internal teams and third-party vendors within a matrix environment

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience delivering complex projects within retail, consumer, or supply chain-led environments
  • Strong track record of managing full project lifecycle delivery in global, multi-stakeholder settings
  • Excellent financial management skills (budgeting, forecasting, business case ownership)
  • Experience working across both Agile and Waterfall methodologies
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including executive-level communication
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams and lead cross-functional teams

Desirable Experience

  • Exposure to supply chain, merchandising, product development, or finance transformation projects
  • Experience with enterprise project tooling (e.g. Shibumi or similar PPM tools)
  • Background in data or real-time reporting initiatives

Measures of Success

  • Delivery of projects on time, within scope and budget
  • High-quality governance, reporting, and stakeholder engagement
  • Strong programme health and adherence to delivery frameworks
  • Accurate and transparent project forecasting
