My client are seeking an experienced Programme Test Manager to lead the mobilisation and planning of testing across complex public‑sector programmes.

This role is well suited to a hands‑on testing leader with a proven background in large‑scale, multi‑supplier environments and the ability to operate confidently across multiple stakeholders.

The Role

You will be responsible for leading the end‑to‑end testing strategy across a complex programme, ensuring robust planning, execution, governance and reporting throughout the delivery lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the preparation, execution and reporting of manual and automated testing
• Lead and coordinate business and technical teams to ensure timely analysis and resolution of defects
• Build and manage the test resource profile
• Onboard and embed appropriate test tools
• Produce clear, high‑quality test reporting and analysis, both in written format and in governance forums
• Forecast defect trends and test execution progress
• Ensure internal and external suppliers maximise test coverage ahead of integration testing
• Operate effectively within a multi‑supplier, multi‑stakeholder environment

Essential Experience

• Proven, hands‑on experience managing testing on large public‑sector programmes
• Strong experience working in complex multi‑supplier and multi‑stakeholder environments
• Clear evidence within your CV of:
  • Leading testing in similar environments
  • The tangible value you personally delivered in those roles
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Must hold or be eligible for SC Clearance

Desirable Skills

• Experience with Tosca or similar test automation tools
