An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ESG Programme Manager to help deliver major environmental, social and health‑related commitments. The ESG Programme Manager will bring programme management excellence, strategic discipline and strong cross‑functional leadership to some of the organisation's most important sustainability and ESG initiatives.

Key responsibilities for the ESG Programme Manager:

Lead Priority Sustainability Programmes

• Drive end‑to‑end delivery of key sustainability programmes in partnership with senior sustainability leaders.
• Ensure alignment, remove delivery barriers and embed measurable outcomes tied to strategic objectives.
• Shape annual and future‑year sustainability targets and ensure systems are in place for accurate quarterly and ad‑hoc reporting.

Performance, Reporting & Governance

• Manage the annual calendar of sustainability and ESG activities, ensuring all milestones, governance forums and reporting cycles run seamlessly.
• Maintain the ESG reporting programme plan and prepare the organisation for evolving regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate cross‑functional deliverables, including quarterly scorecard and performance reporting.
• Oversee the sustainability budget, ensuring robust financial governance and resource planning.

Ways of Working & Continuous Improvement

• Strengthen programme governance frameworks and enhance team operating rhythms.
• Identify and embed best‑practice methodologies across sustainability workstreams.
• Support programme shaping, planning and prioritisation to maximise value and impact.

Skills & Experience Required for the ESG Programme Manager:

• Proven experience managing complex, multi‑workstream transformation and IT programmes.
• Understanding of programme and project management principles, tools and methodologies.
• Knowledge of regulatory and ESG reporting environments.
• Ability to coordinate delivery across technical and business functions.
• Excellent governance, planning, risk and dependency management capabilities.
• Financial management experience and ability to work within defined budgets.
• Ability to translate objectives into measurable KPIs/OKRs and track performance.
• Experience driving outcomes across cross‑functional teams.
• Highly collaborative and relationship‑driven style.
• Exceptional stakeholder management and leadership abilities.

Desirable Experience for the ESG Programme Manager:

• Background in ESG frameworks, sustainability reporting or non‑financial disclosure programmes.
• Experience working in sustainability or ESG-related environments.
• Experience in CPG, Retail, Pharmaceuticals or Lifesciences sectors.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Project Management qualification.
