Change and Release Manager
Change & Release Manager
Salary: Up to £60,000
Location: Glasgow, Edinburgh or London
Hybrid Working: 2 days in the office / 3 days from home
The Opportunity
We're looking for an experienced IT Change & Release Manager to play a key role in strengthening service delivery within a fast‑growing, cloud‑based SaaS environment. This is a newly created role with genuine scope to shape how change and release management operates, helping to improve predictability, reduce risk and raise overall service quality.
You'll work closely with Engineering, Product, QA and Support teams, embedding best‑practice processes while driving automation, smarter use of data and continuous improvement across service operations.
The Role
You'll take ownership of the end‑to‑end Change Management process, ensuring strong governance, control and transparency. This includes leading Change Advisory Board (CAB) sessions, assessing risk and impact, and ensuring changes are well prepared with clear readiness and rollback criteria.
Alongside change, you'll contribute to the wider Release Management lifecycle, supporting planning, scheduling and deployment activities to ensure releases are robust, well tested and production‑ready. A key part of the role is improving process maturity through automation-such as change collision detection, automated risk scoring and more effective use of service metrics.
You'll regularly review service performance, incident trends, platform usage and cost data, turning insight into practical improvements and clear recommendations for stakeholders.
What We're Looking For
This role suits someone with solid experience in IT Change & Release Management within a SaaS or technology‑led environment. You'll be comfortable operating at both strategic and hands‑on levels, with a calm, structured approach in a fast‑paced setting.
You'll ideally bring:
- Strong experience in Change and Release Management
- Practical, real‑world use of ITIL frameworks
- Confidence working with senior stakeholders and technical teams
- Experience building or maturing service delivery processes
- A data‑driven, analytical mindset
- A strong customer focus and high standards for service quality
Experience in financial services, FinTech, high‑growth tech environments, or working with modern ITSM platforms (such as Halo or similar) is beneficial, as are ITIL or BCS certifications.
Tech Environment
You'll be working in a cloud‑first setup using Azure for monitoring, cost management and insights, supported by a modern ITSM platform for incidents, changes and service requests, alongside Microsoft Teams and Office 365.
What's On Offer
Alongside a salary of up to £60,000, the role offers a flexible hybrid working model, generous annual leave entitlement, bonus and recognition schemes, private healthcare, life insurance and strong support for learning and development. Additional wellbeing benefits, regular team events and long‑term progression opportunities are also part of the package.
