Senior DevOps Engineer - Reading - Hybrid - 6‑Month Contract - Inside IR35

Lorien is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our client's agile team building a next‑generation analytics platform on Microsoft Azure. This role mixes cloud engineering with hands‑on software development, contributing directly to application features, CI/CD best practice, and secure, scalable cloud solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and automate Azure architectures using Terraform Cloud, reusable modules, and IaC best practices.
• Use Python or C#/.NET to support feature delivery, workflow automation, and CI/CD pipelines (Azure Pipelines / GitHub Actions).
• Work across data engineering, data science and trading teams, including ML workflows, event streaming and automated trading systems.
• Optimise and secure cloud environments, using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Splunk, and take part in an on‑call rotation.

You'll Bring:

• Strong development skills (Python or C#/.NET) and experience delivering end‑to‑end features.
• Proven experience building pipelines for data, analytics, and ML environments.
• Deep Azure expertise across compute, identity, networking, and data services, plus strong Terraform knowledge.
• A security‑first mindset, with experience in shift‑left testing, code quality, and secrets management.
