Contract Front Office Developer - C# / .Net

Location: London - 2-3 days per week in Office

Type: Inside IR35 - 800 per day

A global, multi‑commodity energy trader with a strong technology‑driven culture is looking for an experienced Full‑Stack C# / .Net Developer to support the implementation of a new LNG trading system (c‑motion) within its Trading IT function. You'll join a high‑performing technology team at the heart of European energy and LNG markets, working on systems that directly support trading and commercial decision‑making.

This is a hands‑on contract role for a Front Office .Net Developer who thrives in fast‑moving, commercially driven environments and enjoys delivering robust, high‑quality solutions that matter.

What You'll Be Doing

Delivering agile software solutions using Microsoft .NET technologies

Supporting and customising LNG trading systems and related tools

Translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions

What We're Looking For

Proven experience as an enterprise‑grade full‑stack developer in a front office Trading environment

Strong background in C#, .NET, WebAPI, SQL Server

Experience with modern front‑end frameworks such as Vue.js or Angular

Recent experience of Blazor

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Azure DevOps

Ability to work independently in a VUCA environment with shifting priorities

Excellent communication skills, including explaining technical concepts to non‑technical users

Nice to Have

Experience implementing or customising LNG or commodities trading systems

Knowledge of TypeScript, MongoDB, RabbitMQ, SpecFlow

Exposure to Azure cloud, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), or high‑performance computing platforms

Understanding of commodities or energy trading workflows
