We are currently recruiting for an Automation Tester with extensive Python experience to join one of our Insurance clients on a 6-month contract.

• Automation engineer required to support multiple projects with the build of automated regression test packs for some of the high risks business processes.
• Assist with the maintenance of existing automated regression test packs.
• Build relationships with test leads, manual testers and other project team members to understand areas of risk, create, execute and build upon regression testing packs to maintain integrity and quality of builds.
• Supports team members across geographical locations.

• Collaborate with the wider automation test teams to build and share technical expertise/capabilities/skills through the delivery of regular feedback, knowledge sharing, and coaching.
• Convince and present proposals by way of high-level solutions to end users and/or stakeholders.

Requirements

• This role requires a engineer experienced in Python and with advanced skills in UI automated test development.
• Must be familiar with the Behaviour-Driven Development Framework
• Good understanding of automation frameworks, including understanding of test automation design
• Strong object-oriented programming background
• Knowledge of using the PyCharm IDE (Integrated Development Environment)
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of SDLC process
• Knowledge on SQL skills in tuning/optimization of SQL and database optimization
• Intermediate to advanced skills in writing SQL
• Intermediate to advanced skills in API based automated test development

• Knowledge or experience of AI Testing tools or practices would be desirable but not essential.
