Release Train Manager/Change Manager

Overview:

Looking for an experienced RTM / Change Manager to join a dynamic team within a leading financial institution. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in change and technology governance frameworks, particularly within large-scale financial environments, and capable of driving delivery readiness across complex release trains.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage release train activities, working backwards from target release dates to define and track timelines, SLAs, and readiness milestones.
• Ensure alignment with internal governance processes, including both product and technical change controls.
• Act as a hands-on contributor to assessments and readiness activities, supported by the wider team.
• Maintain momentum across delivery teams, proactively identifying and resolving blockers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine work items and ensure a smooth flow of delivery.
• Support backlog refinement and ticket grooming to enhance customer journeys and experiences.
• Champion best practices in change governance and agile delivery.

Required Experience:

• Proven experience in a change management or RTM role within a financial services environment.
• Strong familiarity with enterprise-level change and technology governance frameworks.
• Demonstrated ability to manage release trains and coordinate across multiple teams and stakeholders.
• Experience supporting agile teams, refining tickets, and facilitating delivery flow.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable:

• Prior experience working within the governance structures of a major UK bank.
• Understanding of both product and technical change processes.
• Agile certifications or relevant training.
