Precious Metals Business Analyst

About the Role

Precious Metals Business Analyst to support a major initiative for a global financial client. The role involves working across front, middle, and back-office teams to deliver critical enhancements to precious metals trading platforms such as OpenLink Endur/Findur.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather and document business and functional requirements across the precious metals trading lifecycle

  • Act as a bridge between business teams, trading desks, IT, and third-party vendors

  • Analyse existing processes and propose optimisations for compliance and efficiency

  • Support testing phases (UAT, functional testing) and production rollouts

  • Create process maps, use cases, and training materials

  • Ensure regulatory compliance (Basel III, Dodd-Frank, LBMA, etc.)

Key Skills & Experience

✅ 8+ years as a Business Analyst in commodities trading (with a strong focus on precious metals)
✅ Deep understanding of trade lifecycle: pricing, risk, logistics, settlement, accounting
✅ Hands-on experience with ETRM/CTRM platforms like OpenLink Endur/Findur
✅ Strong documentation skills and SQL/Excel proficiency
✅ Confident communicator with solid stakeholder management

Desirable Skills

⭐ Experience in Agile/Scrum environments
⭐ Familiarity with precious metals regulations and reporting
⭐ Understanding of FX and derivative instruments in metals trading
⭐ Integration knowledge with ERP, logistics, and market data platforms
