The System Integration Test (SIT) Lead is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering the System Integration Testing phase of the Group HCM Project, which is migrating Core HR and Payroll functionality from the on-premises Oracle e-Business Suite to Oracle's SaaS HCM Cloud platform. The project also introduces new HR capabilities such as workforce scheduling and absence management.
The SIT Lead will own the SIT phase, including creating the SIT test plan, designing and coordinating test activities, working closely with the defect manager, and managing a team of test analysts. The role will collaborate closely with business leads, implementation partners, system integrators, and other test workstreams.
Key Accountabilities
Develop and maintain the System Integration Test Plan, ensuring alignment with programme timelines, scope, and dependencies.
Lead the planning and execution of the SIT phase, including test design, scheduling, defect triage, and reporting.
Manage and coordinate a team of test analysts, assigning tasks, reviewing outputs, and supporting their delivery.
Ensure the SIT phase delivers thorough testing across all relevant integrations, data flows, and business processes.
Engage with key stakeholders including Business SMEs, HR and Payroll teams, technical teams, and third-party suppliers.
Maintain effective control over test quality, test coverage, defect management, and traceability.
Identify risks and issues related to test scope, quality, and timelines, ensuring mitigation actions are taken.
Report progress and key metrics to the Test Manager and wider programme leadership, highlighting blockers and dependencies.
Experience
Extensive experience in leading technical integration test phases for enterprise-scale technology transformation projects, critically involving Oracle eBusiness Suite and Oracle Cloud HCM.
Strong understanding of HR and Payroll business processes and how they interact across systems.
Demonstrated ability to write structured test plans, manage testing across multiple workstreams, and deliver within tight timelines.
Proficient in test management tools (e.g., JIRA, HP ALM, or similar, ideally Azure DevOps).
Experience managing test teams within complex project environments.
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, particularly in multi-vendor, multi-system environments.
Experience in programme level test reporting
