My client a top Global company are currently looking to recruit a Procurement Manager (Indirect for Non-Tech Categories) to join their team on a contract basis. Please note if successful you will need to set up via an Umbrella Company/PAYE. This an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Manager (Indirect for Non-Tech Categories) to join their growing procurement team to help support ongoing procurement strategy and processes. Using procurement experience and leveraging knowledge; the Procurement Manager (Indirect for Non-Tech Categories) will work with Indirect Procurement within the categories including Marketing, HR, Professional Services, Property/FM, Market Insights, Data and Data Enrichment.

Role Responsibilities for the Procurement Manager (Indirect for Non-Tech Categories):

  • Understand and capture the detailed requirements of each business objective, requiring third party contracting
  • Source third parties who can meet the requirements, and conduct initial research to create a short list
  • Run the RFP process, co-ordinating supplier pitches, with the right internal stakeholders
  • Follow process outlines by procurement and supply procurement team with the relevant data and detail to meet internal governance requirements
  • Work cross functionally to ensure all relevant stakeholders feed in requirements and are part of the selection
  • Understand the process to extend or novate a contract
  • Work to award and appoint new suppliers
  • Contract negotiations and drafting of commercial terms alongside Legal


Key Measures of Success:

  • Implementation of contracts on our clients terms
  • Service Level Agreement (SLA) on building RFPs
  • Cost avoidance during tactical sourcing / spot buys
  • Contribution to cost reduction targets and avoidance
  • Positive stakeholder relationship management


Key Skills and Experience for the Procurement Manager (Indirect for Non-Tech Categories):

  • Experience in indirect procurement environments in a Procurement / category management capacity.
  • Enthusiasm in sharing expertise and experience with other within your own discipline
  • Experience in selecting, onboarding, and managing suppliers
  • Experience of drafting, negotiating, and managing supplier agreements within Marketing, HR, Professional Services, Property/FM, Market Insights, Data and Data Enrichment categories.
  • Understanding sustainable procurement best practices and how to embed this into the sourcing process
  • Excellent relationship management skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with management
  • Customer-focused, taking the time to understand the needs of the business
  • Ability to influence others with excellent written and verbal communication skills


This is a 6-month contract working as a Procurement Manager (Indirect for Non-Tech Categories) with Hybrid working in London a 2-3 days per week. Please note this role is paid via an umbrella company/PAYE. To apply to the role please send your CV or call to discuss further.
