It’s no secret that businesses have been trying to identify international opportunities over the last two years. This has been high on the agenda in light of Brexit and potential skills shortages. 

In theory, this should be a big opportunity for talented UK recruiters. When businesses want to develop their overseas operations, it should be a catalyst for you to deliver for them.

However, it’s important that recruitment firms back this up with an overseas presence. It’s not uncommon for recruiters to have been told that their business will be opening an office abroad in the ‘near future’ – yet here we are at the end of 2018 and many firms have stayed still. 

It’s difficult to convince a client you can find them a candidate in another country when you have no real base there. In other words – why would they trust you with Berlin when you don’t get past Birmingham?

Recently we’ve made a move into the DACH region of Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.

We launched our German office in Frankfurt and hired Philip Sanner, a local recruitment expert with 20 years’ experience, to head up our operations. We’re now looking for ambitious German-speaking recruiters who want to play a leading role in the growth of an international business.

There’s no doubt that the German market is an extremely buoyant one, which last year received over €80 billion in foreign investment – more than double the previous year. In particular, the IT and Tech sectors are widely regarded as key areas for growth. The German IT sector has grown year-on-year over the last decade, with 2018 revenues predicted to reach €89 billion, and the country is also home to the single largest software market in Europe.

This type of opportunity doesn’t come along often. You can join a market leading business which is backed by a multi-million pound vehicle, in a sector ripe for growth. You will be there at the start of our German journey, allowing you to play a meaningful part in our expansion. Finally, as well as a salary and commission scheme designed to attract the best, you will have access to Philip’s European network, plus a bespoke in-house training programme. 

A unique opportunity like this requires a unique person with entrepreneurial flair. If you’re an experienced 360 recruiter, with a track record of growing a desk within IT and Tech, we’d love to hear from you. Ideally, you’ll initially be based in our London HQ, with a view to relocating to Frankfurt in six months. Above all, you will be passionate about reaching the very top of the recruitment industry on an international scale.
